PAIN, PROBLEMS AND GRACE / PYN, PROBLEME EN SEEN

God of love‚
whose grace never ends‚
we come to bring to you our suffering‚
the pain and problems
of the nations of the world:
the sighs of prisoners‚
the screams of the tortured‚
the pain of those who lost loved ones‚
the loneliness and trouble of refugees‚
the hopelessness of the weak
and the weakness of the old‚
the despondency of the fatigued –

O God our Father‚
draw them closer to you‚
make them aware of your tenderness for strugglers.
We ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ‚
our Helper and our Lord.
amen
Anselmus

ons Helper en ons Here.
amen

LET IT GO

Let it go …by T. D. Jakes

There are people who can walk away from you.
And hear me when I tell you this!
When people can walk away from you: let them walk.

I don’t want you to try to talk another person into staying with you,
loving you, calling you, caring about you, coming to see you,
staying attached to you.
I mean hang up the phone.

When people can walk away from you let them walk.
Your destiny is never tied to anybody that left.

People leave you because they are not joined to you.
And if they are not joined to you,
you can’t make them stay.
Let them go
.

And it doesn’t mean that they are a bad person,
it just means that their part in the story is over.
And you’ve got to know when people’s
part in your story is over so that you
don’t keep trying to raise the dead.

You’ve got to know when it’s dead.
You’ve got to know when it’s over.
Let me tell you something.
I’ve got the gift of good-bye.
It’s the tenth spiritual gift,
I believe in good-bye.

It’s not that I’m hateful, it’s that I’m faithful,
and I know whatever God means for me to have
He’ll give it to me.
And if it takes too much sweat I don’t need it.
Stop begging people to stay.
Let them go!!

If you are holding on to something
that doesn’t belong to you and was never intended for your life,
then you need to LET IT GO!!!

If you are holding on to past hurts and pains ..
LET IT GO!!!

If someone can’t treat you right, love you back, and see your worth…
LET IT GO!!!

If someone has angered you …
LET IT GO!!!

If you are holding on to some thoughts of evil and revenge ..
LET IT GO!!!

If you are involved in a wrong relationship or addiction .
LET IT GO!!!

If you are holding on to a job that no longer meets your needs or
talents ..
LET IT GO!!!

If you have a bad attitude…
LET IT GO!!!

If you keep judging others to make yourself feel better…
LET IT GO!!!

If you’re stuck in the past and God is trying to take you to a new
level in Him…
LET IT GO!!!

If you are struggling with the healing of a broken relationship….
LET IT GO!!!

If you keep trying to help someone who won’t even try to help
themselves..
LET IT GO!!!

If you’re feeling depressed and stressed ….
LET IT GO!!!

If there is a particular situation that you are so used to handling
yourself and God is saying “take your hands off of it,” then you need to…
LET IT GO!!!

Let the past be the past.
Forget the former things.
GOD is doing a new thing for
 2008   !!!
LET IT GO!!!

Get Right or Get Left .. think about it, and then
LET IT GO!!!

“The Battle is the Lord’s!”

PICK ME UP LORD!

Lord‚
when everything around me turns into a desert
and it makes no difference to cry …
you hear me.
When you see how everything around me has died‚
and how I have died within myself …
then it is you who opens a new road for me
at your right time
so that I will escape my dead-end situation.
They you bow down‚
and you save me from under the broom bush‚
into a new life.
amen

TEL MY OP HERE!

Here‚
wanneer alles rondom my woestyn word
hoor U my.
Wanneer U sien hoe alles voor my doodgeloop het‚
hoe dit doodgegaan het binne-in my …
dan is dit U wat op die regte tyd
’n nuwe pad voor my oopstoot
sodat ek kan uitkom uit my vasgeloopte situasie.
Dan buk U af‚
en red my onder my besembos uit‚
in ’n nuwe lewe in.
amen

Here‚ maak my oë oop
om u heerlikheid‚
u magtige teenwoordigheid‚
oral‚ oral
raak te sien.

EK IS VERLORE SONDER U

Ek draai na U toe‚ Here‚
Tog wil ek so graag U wil doen.
Ek besef maar net weer eens hoe absoluut
afhanklik ek van U is;
hoe absoluut verlore ek is sonder U.

SOSIALE VERVAL

Filed under: Afrikaans, Christelik, God, Heilige Gees, Jesus, gebede — prayerweb @ 8:03 pm

LORD, TRANSFORM ME! / HEER, VERANDER MY!!

Lord‚ transform us‚
so that we will live as image bearers!
Take our hate speech‚
and turn it into handshakes.
Take our prejudices‚
and turn them into peace offerings.
Take our misunderstandings‚
and write music with them.
Take our discord‚
and choreograph it into a dance.
Take our helplessness‚
and transform it into hope –

We are waiting to see how the miracle of your love‚
that is never withdrawn from us‚
does this work of renewal.
amen

Here‚ transformeer ons‚

amen

SOCIAL DEGENERATION

This social degeneration is properly addressed in a prayer of a priest‚ Reverend Joe Wright‚ who in 1996 prayed in the legislative council of the American state of Kansas. A member of the legislative council met this priest friend of his one day and asked him to do the opening prayer for them the next day.

He then prayed this prayer in which he addresses the realities of the order of the day.

“Heavenly Father‚ we come before you today to ask for your forgiveness and to beg you for guidance. We know your word says: ‘Woe to those who speak evil’ but this is exactly what we do. We lost our spiritual balance and turned our values inside out. We confess that:
We scorn the absolute truth of your Word and refer to it as moral pluralism.
We acknowledge other gods and call it multiculturalism.
We excuse our perverse action and call it an alternative lifestyle.
We exploit the poor and call it lottery.
We legalise the murder of the unborn and call it free choice.
We don’t discipline our children and we say that it builds their self-esteem.
We abuse power and call it political skills.
We desire the possessions of our neighbours and describe it as ambition.
We dirty the air with our swear words and pornography and call it freedom of speech.”

LORD, YOU CALL ME BY MY NAME! / HERE, U NOEM MY OP DIE NAAM!

Filed under: Afrikaans, Christelik, God, Heilige Gees, Jesus, church, gebede, prayer, religion — prayerweb @ 7:55 pm

Father‚
You have a Name.
A holy‚ glorious‚ heavenly Name.
You call me
by my name.
I am someone‚
because you are my address.
Teach me to shine
Through the window of my existence so that
Your Name will be revered
and so that others may also
find your Address.

Vader‚
U het ’n Naam
’n heilige‚ heerlike‚ hemelse Naam.
U roep my
By mý naam.
Ek is iemand‚
want U is my adres.
Leer my om só
