Holy God‚
in this precious hour we get together
to come to rest
before your Word.
To do this‚ we needed to break away
from our work responsibilities‚
from our game fantasies‚
from the fears that overwhelm us‚
from the ambitions that consume us.
In these moments free us
from every form of attention detraction‚
so that we will focus and listen‚
so that we will hear‚
and be changed.
